  • If we voted for the idiot, it's only our fault.
  • no because we dont all vote i cant be held responsible for those idiots and there crazy ideals
  • Bashing americans because of what their governement does is racist! Its the same as insulting all black people because one of them mugged you on saturday night. I try to only bash the americans who support there messed up government. Take every person as an individual IMO.
  • it IS technically an elected government but there are many flaws in the system. in texas our governor was elected with about 30% of the vote. so many people ran that with 30% he had more votes than anyone else. that means that more than 2/3s of voting texans did not want him. so to answer your question, it's only fair to bash the ones that vote for the idiots.
  • No! Not all Americans are responsible for election of the people we are represented by. I am so sick of the message our government is sending out to other nations, and it really does put a dent in our reputations. You can even tell here on AB. You can't expect a single government embody the thoughts, feelings, and character of an entire nation. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and with that statement, you have to cut some of us some slack. Seriously. Just because the government is doing something in a motion that would be natural to what they believe in (whatever party would be in power), doesn't mean that I believe each and every one of those ideals... or any of them! I can' be held accountable for what our government does, just like no one else in this country should be. I mean, I am probably the only one who is going to bring this up, but I also hate our election system. We can't even directly vote for the president, we have to vote for people to vote for our president! What is that?! What about faithless electors? The electoral college is just something I can't say that I agree with. I feel like my vote (I can't vote yet, but I will be old enough to next year, mind you) is worth nothing. In my opinion, there is always going to be some facade that politicians are putting out there to win. They tell the U.S what the majority of us at the time *want* to hear, and then completely disappoint us in office. And why some of them have to be so strict on party affiliations is beyond me. Hardly anyone here is that extreme, where we believe all of what this party believes in or all of what the other believes in. It's not like that. It's not un-normal for someone to dabble in both conservative ideas and liberal ideas (in their different aspects). They may be the "leaders" of our country, but they certainly do not represent us in most other places.
