  • She'll be fine. If she's old enough to bleed, she's old enough to have babies. I had a very young cat get pregnant once. She only had one kitten (it wasn't that only one kitten lived, she only HAD one) because she was still so small herself, but she was just fine.
  • It is probably natural, isnt it nice to have 2 cats, i love cats. And who knows it is highly unlikely for cats to get hurt in that situation.
  • I have taken in (rescued) many 6 & 7 month old stray kitties who have normally produced 4 healthy babies, I am sure if nature thinks she is old enough to get pregnant then she will be okay, don't worry. Gestation is 63 days, but if you don't know when she got "caught" then keep a close eye on her teats, also a couple of days before she kittens you will notice she changes shape, and can actually look smaller, this is due to the kittens moving into birthing position and is a sure sign they will be popping out in very near future. Good Luck, you will love them xx
  • yes she will be fine but just a for warning that whaen a cat or kitten is preg for the first time exspect 2 or 3 kittens because there boidies are not the full length yet its kinda like your baby is haveing babies
  • It's not too early. Cats hit puberty at four or five months. And if a cat hits puberty at four or five months, then eight or nine months is not too early for them to conceive. Your cat will be fine. I know someone said in another answer to expect two or three, that's not true. A young cat I have been feeding just had SIX and this, in all likelihood, is her first litter. Really it's hard to gague a proper number of kittens to expect in the first litter. She wasn't very old when she showed up at my house starving to death. She wasn't much more than a kitten when we started feeding her.

They are all healthy and she is nursing all of them.
  • Your cat is plenty old enough to have her own kittens. The number could vary anything from 1 to ???? My cat had 4 when she unexpectedly got pregnant at 5 months old. I highly recommend you feed your cat kitten food as it is high in nutrients that she needs right now. She should also stay on this whilst feeding her kittens once they are born. She can also get pregnant straight after having her litter so you may want to consider getting her booked into the vet as soon as possible after she has them.
