Help answer this question below.

My brake pedal sometimes goes all the way to the floor without actually engaging the brakes. There is no loss of brake fluid. Is this a problem with master cylinder? Diaphram?

    It could be, first check the fluid level in the master cylinder, then make sure your back brakes are adjusted, after this if the same condition try bleeding the brakes, if all this fails and you have same problem, then change master cylinder, a faulty Master cylinder, ----- while at a red light or any time, with the engine running step on the brake, if the pedal goes down with your foot pressure on it you have a bad master cylinder. Have your local shop have a look if you don"t do so yourself.

    Yes there could be something wrong with that.. but also other things such as.... Air in your brake lines. Low break shoes/pads. Try replacing your pads and blead your brake lines.
