According to Wikipedia, his birth certificate name is Ned Arnel Mencia, but he went by Ned Holnes until he was 18 years old out of respect for his father (His mother didn't want him to have the last name of his father)

I don't think he ever said he was Mexican, did he? I remember he said that he's Honduran, but the German thing is new. Oh well, I still like him.

it does make me think he's a wee bit racist now, because alot of people who are hispanic hate mexicans and consider them low and dirty so he's making fun of them and he's not even them so when he says stuff about mexicans and seys he's talking about him self that is a lie, he is funny but i prefer Dane Cook even more now than i did before.

According to the International Movie Data Base (imdb.com), his mother, Magdalena Mencia, is from Honduras, and his father, Roberto Holness is Mexican. He was sent to live with his aunt & uncle. They were unable to have children, and he was number 17 out of 18. I don't see anything in there about his being German.

he did said in one of his first special that grew up in east LA, the he feel mexican because he grew up in the maravilla projects (what ever the means)but that he was born in Honduras. he adds and one of his jokes that is not like it matter to most frigging idiots around here (I think that by that he means most of whites and blacks american's) because he can and has said Honduras, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador, Argentina and what do they say, Ah your mexican! This i can testify to by on experience. It happens all the time you wont believe the amount of whites and blacks that think that PR is and island east of of NY (yeah this will by ok if they did not meaned just a few miles east of NY)

i really think that the only problem here is that he may steal a joke or two. before i continue i am married to a mexican from mexico! i love him and there is nothing wrong with them. anyway,Now many white and black people do think that central and south america are MEXICANS! No we are not. 2 different continents many different latin countries. why would it bother any of these people where he is from? It's not like any of them know the difference.
