  • I don't believe you can. Why would you need to?
  • After loosening the strings, you grasp the pegs with needlenose pliers and pull them straight out. You want to be very careful with the pliers so you don't scratch the hell out of the bridge. If the peg looks like it won't come out easily, then reach into the sound hole with your hand and push the pegs outward. Always keep a few extras pegs around in case you break the heads off of them in the process.
  • You can buy a tool at your music store called a"string winder." They sell for about $2.00. String-winders usually have a slot on the edge designed to remove the bridge pins without scratching them or denting them. I wouldn't advise using pliers as these bridge pins are usually made out of plastic and can easilly scratch and dent. Besides, having the string winder tool will make it easier to tighten the new string once you get the old one removed!
