We might just as well have a vote, we see more on Answerbag about the President of the United States than any other living person. I guarantee that whoever is the next President will get just as much flak as the current incumbent.
-
Why on earth would we want to? We vote for our own leaders.
-
No. That opens it up for our enemies to vote, that opens it up for people who really have no idea what's going on to vote. That would be like holding up a big sign that says: Come take over our government! Come, quickly, before we realize what just happened! If the rest of the world voted on our president, surely they would vote for the dumbest, least able person, so they can come invade us. I mean... America IS the world's bully, dontcha know? BAD IDEA, friend. BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD!!!

Well, first of all, theres no such thing as North American Presidential elections. There are no leaders of a continent. Secondly, anyone living outside of a country doesn't have a say in who is elected into a position of power.

If you're talking about US presidential elections then I say, who cares? Our elections are rigged anyway. If you know the right people you could get Big Bird elected.
-
why did i get so downrated for this question? i think it must have been misunderstood.
-
Well if you vote for Ron Paul you'll be voting for the US president. Otherwise, this will be our last election as the United States of America.
-
no only Americans

I think all citizens should take seriously the responsibility to vote in the countries, states, and localities where they are citizens. Is that what you meant?

i have often wondered this and was about to ask the same question myself. i think that if the USA President has such a critical effect on the rest of the world in so many ways then we should have a say. For example: thousands of people are dying all the time arguably for oil. thousands of people have been left homeless and displaced in the middle-east, been left orphans and scarred by the effects of war. The serious lack of funding (that has been spent on military) from USA government has effected USA economy and in turn has triggered the global credit crisis where companies and institutions such as banks which have invested or borrowed from the USA are collapsing and in turn this has effected OUR interest rates. IF the President is not going to look after his/her own country and stick their nose in in everyone elses affairs, then yes i think that either they should stop doing what they have done in the past or allow other nations to have a say. thanks for your question and allowing me to vent.
