I have never heard of that stereotype, but i do love mayo. Not with everything though, but with chips (fries) it's great.......
-
I'm half white, and I like mayonnaise on sandwiches. Sometimes. Sometimes, it disgusts me. lol Good question though!
-
of course not- i know plenty of people, of all races, including white who absolutely hate mayonnaise. as a general rule, stereotypes are unfounded and ridiculous.
-
Well, technically, I'm white, but I think mayonnaise is one of the most disgusting things to ever be created by man. Maybe the American Indian inside me displaces what should have been my love for mayo on everything I eat. I can't say that's upsetting...
-
I think all races do.
-
Hells no, I hate mayo.
-
no, i use ranch dressing where most use mayo ;)
-
I love mayo and i'm white...
-
Hahaha! Is THAT what they say behind our backs?
-
IDK, but i do.
-
I hate mayo! I'm white. but I know lots of whites that love it, and I don't know of any of my black, brown, or yellow friends who do. they might, but I don't know. so I would say that it is valid, just not always correct.
-
I just don't like it. When I order fast food I always as to hold the mayo. I don't eat it at home either. Stereotypes are pretty much false for everything because you can always find exceptions.
-
Hells yeah. The Klinger loves her some mayonnaise sandwiches. I'm white as shyt and can't get enough of that stuff.
-
Totally. I eat mayonnaise and cheese sandwiches all the time, hahahhaa.
-
WOW!! I don't think it is!! Lots of people use mayo!! Besides the only thing I use it on is a sandwich!! And I don't always use it then!! But idk!! I'm not to big on Ketchup and Mustard!! It is just stuff u put on ur food to get rid of the flavor of the food itself!!
-
I'm really not a fan of mayo. I cook with it sometimes, but I don't use it on sandwiches.
-
Yeah i love mayo i put it on quite a lot of food. Awsome with fries or a nice ham sandwich :)
-
well i know i do. lol!
-
OK I'm Black and I like Mayo. I need mayo on my turkey sandwiches. That is some crazy mess to say. It's almost as bad as all Blacks like chicken and watermelon. I HATE watermelon. But I do like chicken:-)
-
no it's not a valid stereotype, and it is crazy, mayo is good, but let's look at is as african and watermelon, mexican and hot sauce, chinese and rice, it is a stereotype but everyone likes what they like, I am white and I eat everything
-
not that i know of, i like mayonnaise in some food, but not all
-
Yes. All such statements are. There are a lot of white people - each with individual like and dislikes.
-
LMAO, you are hilarious. I think it is.
-
Valid stereotype is an oxymoron. You're just a moron.
-
Of course not, white folk eats Miracle Whip and dat ain't mayonaise.
-
I've never heard that before. Although I have noticed that more northerners than southerners seem to like it. (Of course that's just based on various family reunions in various places rather than any firm evidence.)
-
Everyone has different tastes and those who like mayo may not put it on everything they eat. (I know I like it on egg sandwiches & turkey sandwiches, but not on pimento cheese sandwiches)
-
Mayonnaise is very french and has been around for centuries, so it would definitely be considered a traditional food for people of European descent. It was invented in 1756 to commemorate a victory at the start of the Seven Years War, the successful siege of English-held St. Philip's Castle. Located in Mahón, port city and the capital of Minorca, its loss resulted in the loss of the entire island. French Admiral La Galissoniére and Louis François Armand de Vignerot du Plessis, duc de Richelieu, commanded the siege, after which a sauce was christened “mahonnaise.” Perhaps the so-named sauce debuted at a banquet in honor of Richelieu.
-
Eeewww NO! I can only stand mayo very lightly on a sandwich or a very little bit in a potatoe or egg salad. Where did this supposed "stereotype" come from? That's a new on on me!
-
... no ... I will NOT consume it ...
