Who killed Aris at the end of the game?

    I am assuming that since you asked the question you are already prepared for the spoiler that will ensue.

    Sephiroth killed aeris, but this happened at the end of the first disc, long before the end of the game.

    It is actually quesiton whether or not aeris was brought back to life at the end of the game.

    At the point of her death, her white materia fell into the lifestream, which overflowed across the planet at the end of the game, and healed it.

    Is Aeris now a part of the planet?

    Beat the game yourself and make your own determinations.

    If you missed the whole Sephiroth-thrusting-his-sword-through-Aerith bit, you can easily download a video of the FMV. And you aren't at the end of the game yet, just at the end of the first disc. You have a whole 'nother adventure awaiting you!
