  • No. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. You'll be responsible to pay, and if you refuse, NY can transfer the information to PA and your license can and will be suspended/revoked for failure to pay.
  • hehe I tried to do that like 10 years ago in North Carolina... living in Florida I didn't think it would follow me... to my surprise, I almost for arrested due to driving with a suspended license (got suspended for not paying the speeding ticket).
  • Even though you were from another state, the citation is valid. Thanks to the wonderful world of computers, if you chose to ignore the citation, one state will notify the other state of the citation(now a warrant). your home state will send you notice that your drivers license has been suspended, until the citation has either been paid or court appearance. Today, you just cannot outrun the computer. it controls our lives.
  • However, you do have the right to fight the ticket in your own home town. if you choose to fight it, maybe the cop wont come. if the cop does come, you will lose however..
