  • No. That just makes watery milk
  • It would be lower in fat but the consistency would not be very nice. Low fat milk is made by taking the fat out of the milk in separation process, and then adding it back at a constant rate (percentage). This keeps the nutrients the same, the texture similar and the fat lower.
  • No. Low fat mil is made by taking some of the fat out and then adding powdered dry milk solids to make it have a nice consistency. Powdered milk is also added to nonfat milk for the same reason. Only whole milk has no dry milk powder added. ALL other milks DO.
  • No, but by adding skim milk to whole milk you'd get a lower fat milk. (Still taste off though)
  • Its not properly skimmed that way.
  • I do this sometimes. If someone has only whole milk I pour a little bit and then pour a little bit of water and stir it around. It taste fine. The consistency is just a little different.
