  • The thing you need to do is find out what's happening when it shuts down. Are you losing fuel or are you losing spark. The easiest thing to check for is spark. I suggest you purchase a spark testing tool (like the one in this link) http://www.shopperschoice.com/item_item_372001.html The next time the car stalls, pull a spark plug wire and hook up the spark tester. Have someone crank the engine while you observe if you have spark. That way, you'll at least know which system is inoperative. Good luck
  • most likely the control module. should be located on drivers side, under the windshield washer resevior.
  • Your trouble could be the crank position sensor, I've had problems from stalling, not starting and hesitation all caused by this sensor. This link below might help too. http://autorepair.about.com/library/a/1i/bl637i.htm
  • CHECK YOUR WIRING HARNESS THAT RUNS ALONG THE DRIVERS SIDE, IT WILL BE RUNNING ABOVE THE WHEEL WELL. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND REPLACED THE CAM SHAFT SENSOR AND THE LIKE ONLY TO FIND I HAD A SMALL NICK IN ONE OF THE WIRES IN THE HARNESS. I PUT SOME ELECTRICAL TAPE AROUND THE NICK AND NEVER HAD THE PROBLEM AGAIN.......
  • get the computer checked or get one from junk yeard, ive seen a lot of these problems, is your engine 4.0L? if it is that's the engines that i see do that all the time.
