  • If the following site refers to your company (The Kling-Triangle Furniture Company), then your set is pre 1925,as that was when this company went out of business. http://www.prendergastlibrary.org/jamestown/furniture.html However, here is another site referring to the Kling company, which indicates that they went until the 60s. It might be that there were two companies with similar names. http://www.madbbs.com/users/mayville/MayvilleHistory.htm

  • If you can tell me the type of wood (maple, cherry or mahogany) and the stenciled black number on the back of one of the pieces, I am sure I can help you. My name is Bill Kling and grandfather John A Kling started the company in 1911 and it was sold in 1962 to Ethan Allan. I have quite a bit of information on the suites made in the 1940's. My email is barbillk@yahoo.com. If you contact me by email put "Kling Furniture" in the Subject box. Thanks.
  • Janetreasures - You must be my cousin. If I have it correct, your sister's name is Patty. Please email me at barbillk@yahoo.com and but your mother's name in the subject area. That way i will know you are the right Jane. It would good to be in touch. Thanks, Bill Kling
  • Found an Atricle about Mayville, New York. Ethan Allen made furniture here, but closed their plant April 21, 2003. The original part of the plant they worked from was part of the Chautauqua Bed Spring and Lounge Company, which went bankrupt early in the 1900's. The company was then purchased by John Kling in 1911 becoming a small family owned bedroom furniture business. The operation soon expanded into several plants. Kling's was purchased by the Baumritter Corporation in 1962. The Kling name was discontinued after 1974.
