  • Sure. Why not? It might complicate things, but then so do a lot of other things like having different religions, views on politics, kids, in-laws, differing sex drive, etc. Assuming their relationship is otherwise fine I see no reason why an age difference alone would spell doom.
  • The answer is no. He moved in for 2 months and ended up getting what he could out of her and leaving.. just as I had warned her. He was only 18 months older than me, her son, and she would rather believe the lies he was telling her than listen to my sister and myself. Things will never be the same between us....
  • Never and here is why. you probably know this already.......its called and ego trip. your mom is 45 and approaching her life change cycle. meaning, she is getting older and does not want to admit it. someone younger makes her feel just that......younger. the 22 year old is out for the kill. meaning, hit and run. grab what you can, while you can and leave the scene. i must admit, though, that somewhere in america, this setup may be working. but, its got to be rare. sorry you are stuck in this situation.....it can be embarrising.
