Try giving up caffine (espeacily coke and coffee) and ciggarettes, I came across a condition in the course of my study called hyperthyrodism I match alot of the sythoms but I reckon I don't have it. Tell me you age sex career sports diet smoker/nonsmoker, is there anything you consume in excess think about this eg milk/coke/chocolate/beer??? I'm a biomedical science student not a doctor but I'm pretty good at haematology and alot of the time shaking is a blood disorder.

Well, the first thing that came to mind was hyperthyroidism as this causes nervousness and tremour. Have you been tested for vitamin deficiencies or thyroid disorders? Lack of certain vitamins can cause nervousness.

Calcium and magnesium are examples of this. It's worth going back to a doctor. Maybe a different one if you can? Some times one doctor can miss something that another one spots.
    Good luck

I get this, and it is due (in my case) to postural hypertension. PH is a condition where the difference in your blood pressure between lying down and standing up is greater than normal. It also causes dizziness upon standing.
It could be due to anxiety if it happens more around others in your case.

This condition is most likely a neurological condition called Essential Tremor. I have it and it's very embarassing especially when you have to use your motor skills while people are watching. Having this problem since I've known myself has helped me develop some useful tricks. Never fill a glass to the top, and hold it closer to the brim since the lower you hold it will cause more shaking. Notice that the higher your hands are when holding an object the more tremor you will get.

I think anyone with these symptoms should google "Essential Tremor" and you'll get all the help and answers you need.

    BEST OF LUCK!

I had the same thing for years. It was embarrassing. I assumed it was either emotional tension or anxiety or low blood sugar. It turned out I had an autoimmune disease that affected my thyroid. None of the doctors or psychiatrists had tested my thyroid antibodies in all those years, just some other general thyroid tests. Finally I ran into a new doctor that had it tested and it was positive along with some other things that showed a thyroid disorder related to autoimmune. I got treatment for a year and a half before I recovered. Now I do not shake at all. Keep looking for a doctor that can help. I was told it was hereditary and would never go away.
