Which idea do you think is harder for a person to accept, the concept that they may be bound for "Hell" after they die, or the idea that they will simply cease to exist for evermore after death?

    I think that ceasing to exist would be a harder idea to grasp. Going to hell at least shows that you're still going to be around. Ceasing to exist, well it's hard to imagine that you'll be gone forever.

    I don't know. I think that rather than believe in hell, a lot of people prefer to think of annihilation. That might make them not so responsible for their actions in the here and now.

    For me I think they are both really hard to accept. I think Hell would be horrible if it's like veryone says, but the whole ceasing to exists is what bothers me the most. You die and the whole world goes on like you were never here in the first place. Make you wonder if people would even miss you after you leave?
