    We miss our girl!

I have two. One is spraying the backyard down with the hose in the evening then "picking" earthworms to go fishing. The second is sitting on his lap by a window during storms watching the "thunder dunders".

I have many, but my favorite is when he took me, just me to the circus. I was three. I do have a good memory, and I remember parts of that day very well, strange how it goes. He died when I was young, so I hold those memories close to my heart.

The last time I saw him before he passed away. We went to fire island on his friends boat then just hung out drank and ate. It was a perfect lazy summer day.

How much I looked up to him, even after I found out he didn't really know everything there was to know, and was totally addicted to tobacco.

Game 7 of the World Series between the Minnesota Twins and the St. Louis Cardinals. My Dad had gotten the 'in case' game 7 tickets for my birthday - St Louis was up 3-2, but we won game six, so I was going to the World Series! In the ninth inning, the Twins were ahead 4-2, if we could get out of the inning it would be all over. This game was at the Metrodome, one of the loudest stadiums in all of sports, as the last batter came to bat I remember standing on my chair and yelling at my Dad who was standing right next to me DAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!! He couldn't hear me at all! it was that loud! The Twins won the World Series and I had the best Birthday present ever.

Every moment spent at the racetrack and stables with him while he trained and tended to his thoroughbreds. It was great and we both loved being there :)

Back in 8th grade my dad coached my basketball team. He was a great coach and took us all the way to the finals where we lost. but even though we lost, the experience was great and it is something i will never forget.

Going on trail rides with him. We'd take our two horses and join up with hundreds of other trail riders and wagon teams and ride down the South Canadian river near Taloga, OK. They were 3 day trail rides and we'd camp overnight on cots beside our horse trailer. We'd ride 26 miles each the first two days then about 14 miles the third day. It was hot and thirsty, but wow, was it awesome fun! The memories are so precious now that he passed away in 2003. I'd give about anything to be able to do that again with him.
