  • I heart NY!
  • um... lets see... New York. for sure. I love the city - even if I couldn't live IN NYC, I'd be closer to a number of major cities than if I lived in OK.
  • oh wow! oklahoma, without question. not that there is anything great about OK but its not as cold as NY.
  • New York. Oklahoma is in the South.
  • I LOVE New York!
  • If you are talking state, whihc is what you asked and not city, I'd have to say New York whee I currently chose to move to from California. I've driven thru Oklahoma. Can't say anypart impressed me too much. Rather flat, nt enough trees, way too hot, too many tornadoes, the towns aren't too pretty, the beach is FAR away, there aren't many pretty lakes or mountains or rivers or anything I'd like. And it still gets freezing cold there. I'll take my log home by the pond and woods with all the wildlife and a real city just down state from me.
  • Oklahoma cause I live in NY. Actually, I went to visit Oklahoma City when I was 7 and this old guy my parents knew pointed out a real American Indian to me, it was cool.
  • Oklahoma
  • I don't know I've never been to either.
  • Oklahoma - for the really nice rivers and lakes with low pollution, good roads, nice foothills without any dangerous mountains that become a problem in winter driving, small friendly towns, no NY state taxes (crippling), fresh air, good economic climate, near Dallas, OKC, Tulsa, KC, and some beautiful grassland country, no traffic problems, and very nice people. Upper NY state is gorgeous, I know from living in the Poconos and going to Killington in winter, but OK wins hands down, in my book.
  • If there weren't so many tornadoes in Oklahoma... no, it's still Oklahoma. I've lived in NY and TX so I have a good idea of the differences. The laws and taxes in NY are very restricting, plus the winters can be brutal! Very pretty though, at least it was in Upstate NY.
  • New York I think. I'm not sure, I've never been there, but I've been to Oklahoma millions of time and it is BORING.
  • New York. I love the city!
  • I live in Oklahoma and while I long to live near the ocean, I would still choose Oklahoma over New York. My husband is from New York and we visit there frequently. The harsh winters are enough to put me off. The cost of living in Oklahoma is very reasonable.
  • I don't have enough personal experience to answer. I've lived in NY STATE my entire life. I've never been to Oklahoma. I'd like to visit, though.
  • I pick oklahoma i love that state live there my whole live!
  • I've lived in both states. They are both nice places to live but Oklahoma is a much better place to raise kids. I do still love to visit NYC - what a great city!!! Go New York Rangers!!!
  • New York. - it's on the east coast which would be an interesting perspective for a west-coaster like me. - much more likely to snow in the winter. - being in New York City or at least a few hours away.
  • Oklahoma i've been there I like it; New York is to busy and to crowded
  • Oklahoma because i really hate New York cause of the winters but Oklahoma isn't perfect either because of the tornado's but because of the winters in new york i would of course pick Oklahoma over New York
