White magick (with a 'k' thank you very much) is macigk used to benefit others (benevolence). Black magick is magick used to benefit yourself (malevolence). In case you need informing/reminding: Magick is the ability to do something that seems out of the ordinary but does not contradict the laws of nature, telekinesis, pyrokinesis etc.
http://www.raptureready.com/faq/faq269.html It says that black magic is pretty much evil and white magic is for healing and not intended to harm others.
It depends on what you mean by difference. Either way you're conjuring spirits and sending them to do something for you. Either way you're fulfilling your role as a being made in God's image. Of course the results will be different, but the methods are basically the same. Spirit [name] I conjure you in the [appropriate Name of God], come now and [tell it what to do]. In the [appropriate Name of God again], I thank you for coming. Return when I call you by name; as you came in peace, so go in Power, and be blessed by God among Spirits.
Magick is grey, a combination of black and white, it is the influence of the user that makes it black or white, black tending to be bad and white good.
white magic is for healing and everything good. black magic, is for curses, and alot of bad and harm that's if you don't use it right, will go to people not intirely intended and then all that bad karma comes back to you.

No, not control but possibly be highly suggestive.

Magic with a "k" is a conceit added by Crowley to make him seem special. Magic from the sources he should have been using, like Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy and other renaissance grimoires is spelled with a simple "c". The idea that it separates occult maigc from sleight of hand magic tricks is rather ridiculous, imo. When you get to know the people who worry more about how magic is spelled than what it is doing to transform them according to the Alchemical Great Work, you realize they're just sleight of mind and sleight of word magicians. No better than the street magicians that are all popular now, legerdermaine with nothing but tricksy words and ideas. No power. Get into the real techniques of traditional magic, the things written before the 18th century by Levi and the founders and bastard step-children of the Golden Dawn, and you'll find the real power of magic.
