Approximately how long does it take to become a precertified real estate appraiser? also, how challenging the the real estate appraisal exam?

I am going through classes right now in Minnesota - we do 90 hours of classroom in 4 weeks. Then I signed up for a special class called "how to pass the state test" - so all in all about 1 month. I've heard the test is fairly difficult but the test to become a Certified Appraiser is much, much more difficult.
