You're reading I saw an insect that had 6 legs and two very long antennae. very small, Does anyone know what type of insect this is? (I posted a picture)
Comments
well the reason I referred to them as antennae, is because they didn't seem to have any other functional purpose. They were about 3 times the length of the other legs, and they didn't move. They didn't even touch the ground.

I've seen spiders like this, where the frontmost pair of legs was much longer, and didn't seem to be used for walking.

I was just curious because I'd never seen anything like it in our house, and we have been getting a lot of odd insects and spiders in our house lately. I guess that is possible, but that just seems so odd to me to have legs not for walking.. well it wasn't a question I desperately need the answer too, So it doesn't matter too much anyway.
