for close to £800m...NO. the worst place you could build a stadium is in a congested area. they could have built it for £390m on the m6/m42 region and then used the extra money to develop national accademies so that in 10 yrs time england have a team to actually win something. but no, they'd rather have a expensive stadium in london so that the fa-big wigs don't have to leave the capital to watch a match. a total waste of money.

Oh my, yes. You only have to look at the great concerts that have taken place in the Arena to see how wonderful it is....not to mention a little game called football played in the Stadium...LOL

- It's just been re-built (by an Australian company) and the first FA Cup Final in the new stadium is this afternoon (19th May 2007).

- I'm not sure, but I seem to remember my mother telling me that my uncle played rugby there in 1950s. He scored a try in the Grand Final...was it Wembley? I can't find any reference to anything but soccer/football.

- If it was rugby union it would have been at Twickenham but the rugby league Challenge Cup Final is held at Wembley (except from 2000-2005 while the stadium was being rebuilt).

- It was unfortunate of the quality of that game. The grass was very bad and really slowed down the game. Stupid Chelsea. I don't like them, and they won it from a ridiculous free kick. Stupid referee.
