Should check cashing outlets or payday loans be outlawed entirely or regulated by the government? Did you know that the APR on this type of loan averages from 300% to 400% and can even be as high as 740%?

    The people who get payday loans are aware of the costs. I don't see why they'd be outlawed or regulated more than they are.

    Pawn shops are highly regulated... I think that check advance places should be regulated and cap their interest at the same they're allowed to charge the military. Cash Call is just as bad, charging OVER 99% APR! Imagine what APY that turns into!

    We regulate things that are much less damaging (did I say Pot?) - these companies spell financial ruin for so many people. Yes, limitations on the % above APR should be regulated.
