  • it depends on how brown, but probably not. if it's really soft and mushy, toss it.
  • I don't know if it would hurt you, but, I wouldn't use it. If it's not fresh and green, it going in my trash can.
  • no, it should be green or yellow... when you cut an avacado open the brown very fast, this can be slowed with lime or lemon. however if you cut one open and it is already brown, it is bad.
  • It's just overripe or bruised. It's a personal preference, like eating overripe cherries or strawberries. Some people prefer them this way. However, if it is brown and stringy, has black inside, or smells foul, don't eat it. Just use your best judgement, if in doubt, throw it out :o)
