I remember reading "The Relic" and getting halfway through it and HAD to finish it, so I stayed up until 2:30 AM reading it and calling in sick at work.

Lamb by Chris Moore. Summer Sisters by Judy Blume. I have been WAY engrossed on books on CD while driving cross country. Julia Childs "My Life in France", Jennifer Weiner's "Good in Bed" and "Little Earthquakes".

I have been engrossed in a book many many times. But the first one I think was "David Copperfield". The latest is "The Happiness Hypothesis" by Jonathan Haidt.

I'm afraid if I'm not engrossed within the first few pages I put it down and find another. However, I love reading and this hasn't happened very often.

Yes, Choke, Diary, Survivor, and The Haunted (I didn't really like that one too much, almost made me vomit it was so detailed and disgusting) all which are by Chuck Palahnuik....

The whole entire Jack Aubrey/Steven Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian. The whole Nicholas series by Dorothy Dunnett. Jumped in and wasn't seen again till the end.

Oh, lots of books. I particularly like to read Robin Hoob books. She writes fantastic trilogies. I love here characters and plots and can't wait for the next book to come out. I usually have her next book on pre-order with Amazon. That's how enthralled I get.
