You're reading When I was a kid our standard school lunch was a Fluffernutter (peanut butter and marshmellow fluff on Wonder bread) and a Scooter pie. Where I live now, no one even knows what a Scooter pie is. Did you (or do you) have any favorite lunch foods?

We didn't have hot lunches when I was in grammar school, we brown bagged it. Which amazes me now because no matter what it was, it wasn't refridgerated, and I don't recall ever getting sick from eating food that was sitting in my locker for 4 hours every day
