my friend had a seizure in his home and because of that his dl was suspended for 6 months--I think he said the hospital had to report it to the dmv That was here in Dallas

After that, I believe that the person would have a restriction on their Driver's licence stating that they must remain on any medication in order to drive.

i think it has to be reported to the state dmv by the doctor. i've had a couple while driving and all the doctor said was not to drive. he hasn't reported it so i still can technically drive but it's in my medical records that he's advised me not to. since i have a commercial drivers license i can no longer work but since the doctor wont report it i can't get disability. i'm in a catch 22. i can't drive to work and can't get disability. i'm even having a hard time getting vocational rehabilitation, which at least i could earn my pay instead of just getting ssdi.
