2009 corvette
The 1969 Chevy Camaro SS.
1971 hemi cuda. Nothing else compares.
Likely your all wrong. It is techinically the Ford Mustang 1970-1976 as it is possibly one of the safest, best-handing and one of the bestsellers in the world.
Not Cuba, not bestselling.
Not GTO, it lacks the handling and safety.
Not Shelby, too quick to get booted out of the market.
It is possibly the Ford Mustang, with all that potential
The 421 Pontiac Tin Indian aluminum front car, the 409 or the Mopar Max Wedge 413 cars were probably all the first muscle cars... Light car, monster engine but they never earned the fame beyond the drag strip.
The GTO was clearly the first true muscle car by popular definition.
The 1970 LS6 was clearly the king of those muscle cars.
Strongest and fastest would probably be a Hemi Charger or Road Runner if you don't mind rattley doors, squeaky windows and that awful sound of a Mopar reduction gear starter... Rickety cars is a terrible price to pay for gonzo horesepower :)
Corvette, by deffinition is a sports car.
Mustang, 'Cuda, Challenger, Camaro were not muscle cars... The breed was conceived with the Mustang and they are called poney cars.
Nova SS, 340 Darts and Demons... I don't know if anyone has ever given them a popular monicar beyond Super Grocery Getters.
The ulitimate door slammers however to ever come out of the super car era has to be the 1970 ZL-1 'vettes and Camaros that were built to homologate the 427 Vega like aluminum block rat motor.
Dodge Charger, about a 1968 would be my pick.
1970 hemi mopar anything super bird. super bee, road runner , gtx, cuda , challenger, charger, satellite?
1970 GTO Judge.
1970 Buick Skylark GS with the stage 1 option. At over 500 H.P.and over 500 ft.pnds of torque, this was the quiet monster. I own own and Nothing I have seen comes close. Where I live a few people have some classic muscle. They refer to me as Mr.455...and they all say...That's a F'n Skylark?...
