What is the meaning and origin of the Russian surname "Agalarov"?

    Agalarov is actually an Azerbaijanian lastname, not Russian. In azerbaijanian language \"Aga\" means sir, master, owner. \"-lar\" makes the word plural and \"-ov\" is added to make it a surname. (in former Soviet Union all male surnames ended with \"-ov\")
