As long as it's healthy, no problem. Don't forget our ancestors didn't have a whole lot of variety in their diet, and they did ok.

No, if you can get all your daily nutrients from the meal you should be just fine. I recommend that the meal be taken more than once a day because eating only one meal a day might cause upset in your digestive tract.

Most Nepalese eat dhal bhat twice a day all their lives and they seem fine.

We eat food for nutrition. Taste, like and dislike are very personal. If you can get over the feeling of monotonous taste, you would be fine eating same nutritious food for life. Mind you most of the ‘tasty’ fast foods are less nutritious.

You will be bored to death, but you will be getting food that is nutritionally well balanced. It won't cause a health problem, but you will be sad....very unhappy.

There was a young guy in the UK around a year ago, that lived on baked beans on toast and cups of tea for years and years until eventually it killed him (organ failure or something).

Probably not, but I would imagine that you'd grow very tired of that meal and that the first few times you tried eating something different at the end of the year, you could get very sick, as your tummy would probably not appreciate getting something new!
