  • Only in reality excluding star trek and other Sci-fi TV shows. I like the Star Gate explanation better than Star Trek because it at least gives a more rational answer, yet unbelievable the same.

  • It is widely believed to be the fastest possible speed but there have been experiments that successfully slowed the speed of light with the use of extreme cold. If light can be slowed down I dont see why something else could be done to speed it up.
  • No - c is not the fastest speed possible. The Lorentz factor, gamma, as applied in special relativity just prevents particles accelerating to the speed of light. There is nothing that preludes existance of particles that naturally occur at >c. Look up the Tachyon for more information, its a hypothetical particle that travels faster than c.
