My parents named me Paul as it was a biblical name and baptised me. However my father forced the Christian faith on me against my wishes and so later I rejected the faith, and felt to jettison that Christian conditioning baggage I needed to change my name. I changed my name to Free Spirit by deed poll 3 years ago.

My grandad was stationed in England during WW2 and flew B-17's and later B-24's over France and Germany. We are very Anglo-Saxon, and although we are mostly German, we all have this auburn streak in our brown hair(especially facial hair). This made the Brits he met insist he was Scottish, and they nicknamed him "Scotty". It stuck, and they named me Scott Malcolm after him. He was Malcolm James.
