    There is a nation in the centre of European part of Russia, Chuvashi. Chuvashi pre-Christian name Apruk is a base of surname Aprukov (son of Apruk), later formed another surname Abrukov.

    Most likely another way of saying "Son of Abram," which in Russian is "Abramov."

    There's lots of variations of "Abramov."

    Abram, of course, refers to the one in the Bible.
