  • The klingon ones... Romulan Bird of Prey are not as cool ;-) Seriously thaugh I have a thing for hawks, they look so "determined"
  • Barn Owls are my favorite birds of prey. It is especially apt, as they have historically been associated with witchcraft. http://www.peregrinefund.org/explore_raptors/owls/barnowl.html
  • Eagles and I'm not that picky which kind.
  • The Australian Wedge-tailed Eagle....one of the largest of the birds of prey. What a bird. I remember being in Barrington Tops National Park with some friends. We had just turned the engine off to get out of the car and go bushwalking, when we heard this strange sound. It was like a large vehicle getting closer...we turned to see a wedge-tail coming straight at the car...it flew straight over us about a foot up and its wings were wider than the car! It always reminds me of an Aussie classic song from the late sixties, based on the Aboriginal belief that you will see an eagle before you die. Wings of an Eagle - Russell Morris - 1972 Well I'm looking out on an overcast sky in the morning I can hear the warning as it comes to you As the birds migrate and the wind is raised I see the eagle soaring Although I'm just a pawn in natures game like you Wahoo Wahoo Wahoo..... On the wings of an eagle I find myself lifted through the skies Lifted up above the world to see (x2) Can you see me, can you see me, can you see me..... As the days roll on and the nights get long The changing of the seasons And the falling of autumn leaves They bring me down, they bring me down, they bring me down Do you lose your way in the middle of a day Do you see your brother crawling And all the while he's calling out for help from you Chorus ============== I wish you could hear the song. It is soooo pretty.
