  • Mothertongue is French I learned Italian with my grandparents who raised me in that language for my first 4 years of existance (parent where both working) Learned to understand a bit of Dutch at School Learned english while living for 5 months in South Africa after 10 year of School training. Nothing like immertion to learn a language, teaching just doens't work.
  • Yes. I was born to multilingual parents in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. My father was a fire fighter for crash & rescue with Canada's Air Force. When I was just 7 months old, we were transfered to an air base in Zweibruken, Germany, where we chose to live off base in a German Neighborhood. Much later, back in Canada, I worked in the Canadian Artic and learned two native languages, High Plains Cree and Inuktitut. As part of my martial arts and martial health sciences and Chinese Herbology studies, I had to learn Mandarin Chinese. When I moved here to Montreal to study computer programming in 1990, I had to learn French.
  • Yes, I was an exchange student in Venezuela in High School, then I went on to obtain a B.A. in Spanish. Eventually, I landed a job using Spanish and had to speak it all day everyday. I have now been speaking Spanish for more of my life than not.
