  • You need 1st month's rent and a security deposit just to move in, and a good job to keep it. Good luck, and have fun!
  • Make sure you read the fine print and make sure that your landlord does certain repairs. Let me know how it works out and I will come for the housewarming!
  • Always pay your rent on time, and the utilities if they are separate. Keep your doors locked at all times. The less your neighbors know you are there, the better they like it (keep quiet). You might want to get a small shopping cart to help bringing things from the car (even upstairs, they are a big help).
  • If you have some nice things, get renters insurance. It's not very expensive.
