I think it's good to be offended when someone makes a rude and discriminating comment. It shows that you are not discriminating, or less so, and have a sense of propriety.
-
lets put it this way it should be viewed as normal to be offended by bigotry, prejudice and hate, no matter what you gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality, belief system, etc
-
I thought you were Bi? But, regardless of your sexuality or sexual preference, there is nothing "wrong" with being offended by blatant hatred and bigotry. I'm not Asian, yet I despise people who make racist jokes about Asian people. Is that normal? Yes, I think so. Wrong is wrong. You don't have to be bi or gay to find gay bashing offensive.
-
Totally normal. Sounds like you're a sensible person who can recognize when something is offensive. The fact that you can feel offended by it yourself only serves to enhance my faith in humanity. Glad to know you're out there. By the way, I'm straight.
-
I say kudos to you at being offended. When someone says something rude, biased, racist or inappropriate, we should all be offended.
-
No- sounds like you just have a great sense of justice!
-
I'm not sure it's normal, but I'm sure it's good. It shows that you have compassion for other people. I wish it was normal.
-
Everyone should be offended by hatred and bigotry. You don't have to be part of the group being slandered. My sisters would be VERY disappointed if I didn't stand up for women's rights - and I'm a man. :o) You're just an excellent person, that's all. Kudos for you!

Well I dont know about "normal" as in the sence that everyone stands up for everyone. But Im pretty sure its a good thing anyway.... I get upset when my friends and family make racist remarks against any race really, dont know if thats technically "normal" either.....
-
"Normal" or not, it's RIGHT to be offended by remarks denegrating a race, religion, sexual preference, nationality, etc. It's not always necessary to be offended by remarks about the STEREOTYPES of any of those, if it's not malisceous, but I can understand even that. (Most people now know that stereotypes are just that, and not the majority of any group.) To me it shows you have empathy and compassion for your fellow man (or woman as the case may be.) There's absolutely nothing wrong with feeling that way. (And just because you feel that way, doesn't MAKE you one, if THAT'S what you're "worried" about!)
