I prefer listening to music when I'm cleaning, going to sleep, or doing an activity that doesn't require a lot of thought. I prefer silence when I'm trying to study or read. I'm easily distracted when it comes to studying, even a pencil can make me lose focus.

I prefer music, because it calms my thoughts. It helps me to organize things in my head, where as silence seems to bring out more chaos from my brain. Music drives me, motivates me, and calms me. There is music for every situation, which isn’t the case with silence. Sometimes something just needs to fill the void, and music makes a great buffer.

I hate silence..... gives me time to think which is never a good idea. I'll always have music playing if possible, CD's, Radio, MTV. & if there's no chance to play some, I'll be singing something in my head.

I listen to music every chance I get. In fact, I think my ipod is one of the best things I've ever spent money on! :)

I hear screaming and yelling all day and when I get home I hear the kids fighting/yelling so I love the quit time when I get the chance. But on the other hand when I get my quit time I usually pick up the guitar and play a few riffs to relax, so I really don't know how to answer this question lol

I like both. If I want to feel a little more upbeat and become a little lighter in mood then I may put on some music. If I feel unbalanced, and a need to regroup I prefer silence.

I usually prefer music, but sometimes, especially when I am reading my bible and doing my devotional or prayer time, I enjoy silence and peace.
