Help answer this question below.
It pretty much depends on personal taste of course.
Something to take in account is the area where you project to use it.
Wooden floors look good in almost every area, have a classic and clean look to them and have enormous variety to choose from.
It's not recommended to use wood in areas with a high degree of humidity or where spills might happen (bathroom, kitchen)
Stone tiles, have enormous potential. They are being used by many designers and decorators. Depending on the style, color and texture, they can easily adapt to almost every decorating style. They look great in terraces, balconies, foyers, etc.
To me, Carpets are the most comfortable on the feet of course and are recommended more for bedrooms and family rooms.

but if Ihad topick the one I like the most i'd say hardwood floors
Stone tiles
All wood as I'm "Sensitive" to Carpeting, If you don't drop dead right away from it it's called "Sensitivity"
~Nemo~
I'm never one to complain about a bit of hard wood.
CARPET! No matter what.
Wood and stone looks nice, but a house is for comfort and I'd much rather roll around on carpet floor then a cold, hard one.
(Though I do love the sound of heals on wood)
Really soft carpet where I can curl up with someone near a fire. Oh, that and.. if you've ever possibly tried to make love on wooden floor you should know that it really isn't that comfortable to be on the bottom at all.
I'd like to have some hardwood and tile, and carpet for bedrooms.
I have Carpeted , Hardwood and Stone Tiles areas.
My house has all chestnut and cherry appointments. I have a few area rugs to protect traffic areas, but the hardwood floors gleam in here.
Carpet in bedroom--tile in kitchen and bath--wood floors everywhere else.
I have wooden flooring.:)
carpet in the bedroom and tiles in the kitchen and wood flooring every where else^^
I prefer carpet. Keeps my feet warmer.
We ripped out all the carpet in the new house. Half is ceramic tile the rest is wood.
Stone tiles or hardwood floors.
Carpeting except for the bathrooms and kitchen, they are tiled. Basement is tiled also.
Wood flooring throughout with the only exception being the bath. I'd have tile in the bath. Can I have marble?? Heated tiles?? :)
Carpet on stairs and in bedrooms, ceramic tiles in bathroom and kitchen and wooden floors in lounge/dining room.
carpet sucks
Depends which room. I do like would flooring though.
A wood floor. You can do so much with a wood floor. I faux finished a particle board floor, to resemble a stone floor, and another, to look ike a hardwood floor. They both turned out great. Actually the real estate agent that sold our house, thought it was real hardwood!
Mostly hardwood floors, some carpet, the master bath is stone tiled, and we also have some marble.
Wood floors are the best. But I'd have to go with tiles for the bathroom. Carpeting just gets too nasty. Think about how much germy goodness that stuff holds and how hard it is to really clean.
Stone tiles in the foyer, bathrooms, and kitchen. Woodn floor everywhere else. I like heated floors in winter.
Hardwood. Bamboo, specifically. It's beautiful and extremely durable. http://www.bamboo-flooring.com/
Hardwood and/or ceramic tile.
Tile is my best choice, because it is easiest to clean. Hardwood is my second choice. Carpet is out of the question, because it is a hotbed for germs, fleas, ticks, and mites.
Harwood and tile all the way. If you have a carpet urge then maybe an area rug.
Harwood floors are easier to clean..I like them the best.
Hardwood is beautiful (pun fully intended)
I like carpet. I do think however, tile, laminate, and hardwood are preferred in places such as the bathrooms or kitchen in order to allow for easy cleaning of spills or other such messes.
My personal preference is for a solid stone or concrete floor with heated water in pipes in the floor ... covered with large, fine, decorative ceramic tiles.
Love the tile. It can come in so many unique designs.
hardwood flooring it's much more hygienic
In my opinion, nothing quite matches the beauty of wood floors.
wood floors, and carpets in the bedrooms.
I poored some gravel in my living room. I like it cause I can pick up a rock and get my wifes attention when I need something.
Wooden floor & MAYBE Bamboo :-)
Nope of the above.
Personally, I like either concrete or solid-slab marble flooring.
Although if I had to choose out of the three, I'd take stone tiles.
In Britain, where I used to live, fitted carpets. In Lanzarote, where I live now, ceramic tiles. It all depends on the climate.
I am all for wood floors.
Wood floors are the best I think all around.
Stone, tile, ceramic floors are okay for a bathroom because they are impervious but when used in a ktichen you will eventually end up with no glassware. I have a tiled kitchen and anytime something glass had fallen, even from only a few inches, it has shattered in a million pieces. So either wood or linolium for a kitchen. A quality linolium is what I would put.
Now in a bedroom... Wood floors are nice. Put an area rug in there if you like. if you have dogs than carpet is out of the question. If you dont have dogs then carpet is nice to have in a bedroom. Carpet will have to be replaced every 5 years or so. This is why hardwood flooring is the best all around flooring. It is easy to clean and keep clean. It isnt so hard like a stone that if something falls it will break. I mean, glass will break on a woon floor but there is a better chance it wont. On a ceramic or stone floor 99% of the time it will break. Floor maybe 50%, carpet, 10% break. Hows that.
I prefer carpet indoors in this country as it is cold.
However I do like the look of wooden floors and if rugs are fixed down then they are perfectly safe.
In hot countries I prefer marble or stone floors as it cools the place down and we put rugs down for in the winter to make it cosier.
In kitchens I have had carpet, ceramic tiles and now a high grade lino. Its relatively warm underfoot and if anything is dropped it doesn't shatter but very easy to keep clean. Same for bathrooms.
Carpet; keeps the feet warm.
you can use carpet flooring tiles in kitchen and wooden laminate flooring everywhere.
