  • age 4, JFK was shot and they interrupted the Bozo show
  • I remember buying a train set from the Jolly Giant when I was very young. My parents tell me I was one at the time.
  • When I was 2 my Aunt & uncle gave me a teddy bear while I was in the hospitol with typhoid, I can remeber seeing them reach in the crib & give me Danny Boy, I still have that teddy bear. Also when I was 5 I was listening to mom & dads radio & they interupted it to say that Elvis Presley was found dead in his motel room. My mom & dad had concert tickets to see him but he passed on before they could. I remember crying because I liked Elvis even then.
  • When I was a baby, under one year old, I remember what my wallpaper looked like. I didn't know it was SNow White and the 7 dwarves. But I know it was this tall lady with a bunch of little people all around her and I remember the colors. I also remember a cupboard in a wall just built in just above a table (our breakfast table I've been told since) that jam would come from. This [probably happened around 2-3 years old.
  • 1974. My dad and grandad went fishing off Rockaway beach and caught an 8 ft. Dusky shark. They tied it up to the dock, where it proceeded to gnaw on the 2x12 planks where I walked down to swim many times in the past. A local policeman came by, scolded them both for being idiots, and shot it 3 times with his .38 service revolver. It shuddered a bit and died. I never went in the water except Long Island Sound ever again. Nowadays, I really don't swim outside of pools at all.
  • I remember my great-grandmother's funeral. I was about two. I kept telling everyone to stop crying and be quiet, "Mom-Mom seepin'".
  • I remember laying in a bed/crib thing and being unable to turn over and getting really annoyed because of it, and my parents laying on the bed and sleeping. I duno how old I was... Also, in the same crib thing, my grandmother above me reading a really boring book and showing me boring pictures of bears and rabbits in hats around a gray and distressing-looking lake. Still don't know how old that makes me. I also remember being about two and squatting on a little road made out of round stone tiles and drawing a person on it with chalk.
  • I remember 2 things from when I was very young. The first was going to the drug store with my grandfather who was diabetic to get his sugar checked every morning and he would let me pick out a treat which I always choose Macintosh Toffee (which my Grandmother would then yell at him for later on in the day)and then heading over to JC's Diner for ice cream while he drank his coffee and read the paper. The second was sitting on his lap eating special pink ice cream (which I know know was sugar free/diabetic ice cream) while he read cowboy paper back novels. I can't pinpoint exactally how old I was but he passed away the year before kindergarden so must have been no older then 3.
  • I can remember getting a fresh diaper change (cloth diapers, plastic pants) and then toddling out to show off my clean diapers to my Big Brother Jon. On the way to the family room I filled the diaper (and not with liquid) and had to turn right around to get it changed again. My mother was not pleased. I was either one or two at the time. I can also remember looking out the bars of my crib across the bedroom and seeing my baby brother sleeping in his crib. Since he's 17 months younger than I, I was probably almost, or had just turned two.
  • The farthest I can remember was when I was 5. But nothing really "memorable" really happened other than spellng bee stuff... but the earliest traumatic thing maybe was when I was 6 and I almost drowned in the ocean.
  • When I was 2 years old and one month, I can still remember seeing the scary, loud ambulance taking my sister away who was bleeding from an injury to her head. It is my first vivid memory and I was told my age years later when I recalled the event.
  • Getting my ass kicked by the school bully .. was about 9 years old ..lol .
  • My first day of Kindegarten 35 years ago. I remeber coming out on what I thought was the side my mom told me she would meet me on and she wasn't there at 12 oclock as promised. I remember crying like a little baby the entire 5 or six blocks home to my house then crying even worse when my mom finally got home and beat my ass for not waiting for her.
  • Well, it's not very far back, but I can remember the night that a girl I was very much in love with said "I love you" for the first time.
  • I remember living at my grandparents house with my Mom and Dad, before my sister was born, so I'll hafta say 5 years old. I remember little blurbs before that but I'm not sure if it's because I've been told subsequently things that happened, or if it's just flashes of memory.
  • I remember parts of being on holiday in Canada when I was 3
  • One memory is sitting in the basement of our previous house (moved out of in 1987) when I was 3, playing with some toys with my older brother and my dad was in the shower. But I can't really verify that, that's the only memory I have of that house. The only thing I know for sure what that house had was what's on the outside because of pictures and driving by it once in a while.
  • I remember at four walking down our front sidewalk trying to decide whether to go to the right to see Ronny or to the left to see Bobby. My mom had been reading Bible stories to me. It caused me to wonder, "Who made God?" I also remember at three taking a nap one day with my dad. We had no airconditioning and were in the basement. He had a rather pungent odor.
  • I can remember age 3½ ... I was born May, 1959 and I have very clear memories of Christmas 1962.
  • Four years old. We were getting ready to move to our new house. The realtor was at the old house, I fell off the couch and smashed my forehead open and had to go to the hospital! What about you?

  • i remember being in my bouncy walker during the San Francisco Earth Quake of '89 (i was born in '88) -- i thought it was as fun as hell. Since then my opinions of earthquakes and their "funness" have changed.
  • I rememer buying my first puppy :) I was 3
  • I remember when I was like...2ish my brother pinched my skin with fingernail clippers. That's my first memory.
  • It's hard to say. My brother was born when I was two, and I remember tying to convince my grandmother that she should leave him in a park when we went for a walk. I do also remember several things when he wasn't around, like going to catch the bus with my mother and wanting to get out of the pushchair and walk. Since he wasn't there, I must have been 1.
  • 15 Months, it was very traumatic
