  • If the doe is in labor she will be ripping her hair out of her chest and holding it in her mouth. She'll move around a lot in the early stages. It's best to leave her now because if you stay she'll become very nervous. She should eventually get in the nesting box. You'll see her licking the new kit or eating the afterbirth. Only check to count and weigh the next day and only do it with a clean paper towel to keep your scent off.
  • You usually don't. She will wait until she feels safe and alone usually. It doesn't take long either. 15-45 minutes and she's done.
