I like it BRIGHT. Especially in the kitchen, I don't like to eat what I can't see. I am using those compact fluorescent bulbs that use like 10 watts or some crazy amount and give you the equvilent of a 80 watt bulb. They also last forever - about five years/8 hours a day - which is nice.

Blacklight is my personal favorite. under normal circumstances though I would say incandescent.
