There have been documented cases of deaths from lithium overdoes'. When a person takes more than what was prescribed to them it can result in kidney failure and excessive potassium. If you, or someone you know, has OD on it call poison control or 911 asap. Symptoms of a lithium overdose can include any of the following: * Abnormal heart rhythms * Breathing difficulties * Coma * Concentration difficulties * Confusion * Convulsions * Drowsiness * Diarrhea * Increased thirst * Increased urine output * Low blood pressure * Loss of appetite * Muscle twitching * Rash * Seizures * Sluggishness * Slurred speech * Stupor (lack of alertness) * Tremors * Vomiting * Weakness * Uncoordinated movement
