    Because people are generally lazy. It's much easier to blame other people for the world's problems (especially if it lets you judge them) than it is to actually do something about them.

    only the loud mouthed ones. Some of them will be quietly serving soup this Thursday, or have been collecting coats, stocking the food pantry. Bad apples can make a bad impression of the whole bunch.

    Well, people have been doing this also before Jesus came. Jesus told them not to do so, but it seems that some did not listen to that part.

    I think so many times we, as Christians, tend to be against so many things we forget what we actually stand for. Bible does tell us that "God is love." That's like one of the most simplest concepts in the entire book, yet it goes floating over our heads.
