the universe is 13.7 years OLD not WIDE.And we know that there are things 46 billion light years apart.
And 13.7+13.7 =27.4 billion years apart(not light years)when measuring outer edge to outer edge.that is if everything expanded at the same rate since the "BANG".
but we still cant avoid your question wich is "science fiction" there is no answer.

Um that is only the area that they have measured. Besides I thought the universe was infinite when did it stop? Anyways Star Wars is fictional but do remember that the universe is constantly expanding so the universe could be 850 trillion light years away. Also I think George Lucas was trying to avoid an encounter with the planet Earth for some reason due to the fact that it is so FAR away. I mean 1 trillion miles is long enough but 850 trillion light years? Gees!

it was far, far away AND a long time ago. you forgot to factor light into the distance equation, and the relationship of light, lightspeed and time.

Does anyone really know anything? There are so many suppositions posited as fact, and then a few years later they come up with a new supposition that would mean their old supposition was wrong. The only thing that really exists in our reality is what we can perceive. Once we're gone and can't perceive anymore, as far as we are concerned, nothing will exist anymore.

The VISIBLE universe is only a small part of the total universe. An ant on a balloon can't see what's happening on the opposite side of the balloon.

The star wars universe is obviously bigger than this universe, and probably contains our universe in a small forgotten sub-dimension that hasn't been explored within living memory.

The other possibility is that light in the start wars universe is slower than our light, so thelength of the average stretch limo is approximately a quarter of a light year.

That is only a theory pluss the Universe is constently Expanding, Also that sight is most likely not offishal so dont beleave something like that, also hears a rule: if its made by some one named Shadow dont beleave it.
