How much would a decent digital camera cost? I need to cover my butt to get another one since my dad wont get one for my birthday.

that depends on what you want to do with it... do you want to take snapshots for 4x6 prints or sharing on the web, or are you wanting to pursue some serious photography? for snapshots/4x6 prints, most point and shoots will do. i recommend canon's elph or powershot line. they run between 100-500 clams. for wanting to pursue serious photography, i recommend starting with the canon rebel xti, which retails for ~700. it's a good camera that you can grow into and a good starting place for aspiring digital photographers.
