  • Picky eaters only keep it up when everyone pays attention.Tell him he eats whats on offer or goes without til the next meal
  • Don't cater to his picky eating habits. When he gets hungry enough, he'll eat whatever is put in front of him. I had to do this with my kids because their grandfather was spoiling them with snacks and candy all day behind my back. Once I tore into him for that and forbid ANY AND ALL snacks and candy, the kids were cleaning their plates in no time flat.
  • To be honest, I used to be. Last year or two, I improved very much so. It's just a lot of things I didn't want to try, or tasted bad to me. Now I am more mature and willing to try more things. And my taste buds have changed so I like more things as well. My reasoning? If other people are eating it and liking it, why shouldn't I at least give it a chance?
  • I used to be very picky about my food. Going to college changed everything. When you don't have any money you eat what is around the house (or dorm in my case). You grow out of things and learn to enjoy things that you never gave a chance. I bet a couple of meals without catering to your little bro's eating habits and he will be hungry enough to try what everyone else is eating.
  • He'll grow up and like new foods. Everyone hates something at one point and grows to like it. I'm not sure you can condition your brother, but you could suggest to him to try new things.
  • When I was growing up, it was eat or starve, no say in what was on the menu.
  • If little Bro is calling the shots for the whole family, he'll never give up that throne. He's got you all, hooked, lined and sinkered, sorry to say.
  • if he is like me then he probably gags on food he does not like... tell your mom to make plenty of what he does like and let him grow a taste for the rest.
  • My picky eater is a 50 year old grown man, that says he only likes his moms cooking (Mexican food) besides hamburgers. Is becoming pain to please this man. Its not so much he doesn't like it, he just does not want to try anything new. I do not want to cook 2 different meals a day or eat the same thing everyday. Letting a child get away with this may create a monster in the future like this one. Eat or starve kid..most likely he will eat it.
  • Why don't you condition your family to be different?
  • Sometimes,i was a picky eater.my family didnt cater too me.if he helps cook the food hes more likely too eat it.he should be encouraged too try new foods.telling him too eat whats in front of him or starve isnt a good idea.I was told that and i just didnt eat.Yeah i was really skinny.
