Help answer this question below.

I have a Honda VLX 600 motorcycle can i change out the back sproket to two fewer teeth and pick up more highway speed maybe 5mph before i start to get vibrations form high speed

    I would think that high-speed vibration would be more handling based and thus unaffected by gearing. The only way I can see it helping is if your engine is the cause of the vibration, in which case it may help as you'll be at a lower RPM for the same speed.

    Just be warned that your acceleration will suffer. Some people can't grasp the tradeoff between speed and acceleration/force when it comes to gearing.

    Try going up one tooth on the front sprocket - they are cheaper and easier to change.
