  • Yes I do. However, it is a very complicated explanation that in a way hinges on the fact that it is in fact illegal. 1) To grow pot, houses are bought and hydro boxes are bypassed, then extensive electrical equipment is often poorly wired in addition to high power lamps - all of this is an extreme fire hazard 2) Marijuana puts out several toxins, similar to cigarettes. The difference it, marijuana varies batch to batch, so there's no exact knowledge of what's in the smoke of every joint - it differs. Cigarettes are mass produced and the smoke from each one is pretty much the same as from other cigs. Granted, both smell horrible, but at least with cigs you know what's in the smoke. 3) Marijuana is usually pushed onto young people via peer pressure, which is surely against my morals. Forcing someone to try an addicting drug is not ethical in any way and should not be condoned. 4) Cannabis affects the brain in still unknown ways, but known effects are slowed motor function, disinterest in learning, and dropping grades in school. All of this leads to a drain on an education system funded by the public, which then has to try harder (ie. spend more tax money) to educate the stoners who don't want to be there in the first place. 5) Marijuana (if you look closely) is used a lot by kids from troubled homes. Instead of dealing with it, facing it, and trying to sort out their problems, they choose to indulge in an illegal drug. This breeds a group of people who would rather smoke a joint than deal with real problems in their lives - a drain on society. 6) (not morally relevant but still imporant) Marijuana smoke is unfiltered (unlike filtered cigs) and therefore the user does not have any protection from the toxins being emitted from the substance as they smoke it. That's my answer. Enough support for you?
  • o.O well...Is smoking morally incorrect? Marijuana...I think its just something that people choose to do. I guess to think about the "greater good" if you have high people running around...xD that cant be good. Maybe the fact that they wont allow us to use it legally is morally incorrect..(for our own good...)Isnt it the same as being overweight and drinking alcohol o.o;; But thats just my opinion..if you understand wah I mean :O
  • There is no absolute answer to this question. For some people, it might be morally incorrect. I suspect though that it's permissible for most people. I like to think of myself as a psychonaut so it would be morally permissible for me. However, if, while I was under the influence, I grew angry and hurt others, it wouldn't be morally correct. It would be wrong. It's a subjective moral value.
  • I think a vast majority of people who use drugs (and a percentage of alcohol users) use drugs to escape from something. if everyone was "mentally okay" their probably would not be a lot of illegal drug use and therapists would be the richest people on the planet.
  • I don't think its immorral. It grows naturally. It had to have been put here for a reason.
  • I dont feel it's morally incorrect. I dont see the problem with it. I mean, Im a sensible (ha!) adult who likes to smoke a joint every so often just as some people will sit in the garden with a glass of wine, I'll sit in the garden with a marijuana joint. Difference?? None!
