    Oni(鬼)tsuka(塚) pronounced Onizuka when read together is composed of the 2 kanji oni - demon, and Tsuka - hill or mound. It is most likely that the name originated from living new or on a hill that was believed to be inhabited by demons or where a demon was burried.
