Violence in schools comes from the home.

Single parents, domestic violence and drugs are a leading factor. if a child has any of these situations at home, he will take this problem to the school bus and into the classroom.

Lets look at domestic violence. if a child lives in a constant domestic violence home situation, the child has to vent his frustration to someone or somewhere. school is it.

Group 500 students together in this same situation and you have the ingredients for school violence.

Illegal immigrant students also play a huge part in school violence. when these students bring their home country flag to school and wave it around, the other students naturally resent this and then you have school violence.

Some schools have students that openly sell drugs on the school property. this lead to jealousy among students, since some have more money than others.

Guns and weapons in school. never had this when i was in high school. teachers are afraid for their lives and the other students.

So, you see, school violence begins in the home.

The future for school looks no brighter.

Television, games, comics, and violent images have had a great affect on younger population (Grossman). When children grow up, they get used to games and the idea that if they use violence to kill the bad guy they will complete the mission and go on to the next level.; without realizing when they grow up and begin to think it's okay to use some violence in real life and solve some problems, thinking it will solve the problem but really make it worse. Karen Dukess, a news reporter, made a good point saying that, “Teaching children to abhor violence in real life is a good idea, but condemning violence in their fantasy lives does more harm than good." In some ways it is true that taking away the rights to explore anything in fantasy lives is good for the child, and no one should not allow violence in their fantasy lives, but it does teach them violence and after there is a need to regard with horror in real life. Nancy Carlsson-Paige and Fiane Levin had researched and absorbed violence among teenagers and had concluded that, violence and aggressive behavior is very common among teenagers. Behavior of young adults is a result from things they do and watch, like violent fantastic movies and video games where violence seems like a good thing. Many kids that grow up in these days take as much free time they have to play video games and they grow up thinking that violence is cool and fun (Carlsson-Paige;Levin). Violence is everywhere; people see it but pretend it's not a big deal. Some experts had been making researches about people, and they fear that "The immersion in violent imagery will ricochet in people's psyches" (Grossman). Teenagers grow up and develop their own attitude towards everything, and while growing up they learn a little detail that in the future makes a big deal, the myth about violence, that using violence has a power to solve many problems. Legal advertisement of violent video games, movies, and violent images affect every individual alive.
Amanda Paulson had reported a good and true point in one sentence "Key to any solution may simply be defining the problem."

If you're sending a business letter, PLEASE FOR GOD'S SAKE don't capitalize every single word. Only proper nouns and the first word of each sentence need to be capitalized.

  • Why don't you speak to the local police department. They would probably have a lot of info.
